Blue Lake Adventures
Jordan and I hike to Blue Lake whenever we get a chance to spend a summer in Cascade, Idaho. It is one of my favorite hikes because it’s an easy 1.6 mile out-and-back hike that has breathtaking views at every turn. It was our first time hiking as a family of four. Thank goodness my sister came out to visit because three adults to two littles made for an easy-going hiking adventure.
Dinuguan: A Story of Ethnocentrism
Dinuguan is a creamy sour stew made of beef blood. It’s probably off-putting to hear creamy and blood in describing a stew, but like I’ve told my friends who have dared to try it, just don’t think about the base of the stew being beef blood. Easy peasy! Not convinced?
Spring 2021 Editor’s Note

A 21st Century Woman
With the close of Women’s History Month, I reflect on my own history, looking back at the events that shaped me into the woman I am today. These contemplations and the outfit were inspired by Mike Mill’s 2016 movie, 20th Century Women.
Making It | Brooke of Binky & Lulu
I was introduce to Binky & Lulu at Alt Summit through one of their stockist. I geeked out when I read that Binky & Lulu’s earrings were handcrafted with sustainably sourced mango wood by Filipino artisans in the Philippines!
