On the first day of January, I attended a virtual event on destigmatizing wellness and mental health in the Filipino-American community called New Year's Resolusyons. What was most impactful for me was a workshop led by political strategist Holly Lim, who taught how to set intentions instead of having resolutions.

The Riza 2020 Review
It’s fun to look back isn’t it? Even on such a crappy year -- to laugh at the insanity of it all. Okay, we may not be in the mood to laugh at 2020 yet, but if you’re a goal maker or a go-getter, it’s good to reflect on the year to position yourself for success in the next year. Parol DIY v. 2.0
Last year, I made my first parol. You can find that DIY here. This year, I upped the game on the parol by making it three dimensional! The 1.0 version was made of popsicle sticks because I had trouble finding bamboo sticks and because popsicle sticks have no bend, it was a flat parol for Christmas 2019! So this year I was excited to finally find those bamboo sticks. So let’s get to it!
