And The School Year Wraps Up
This was the first normal-feeling school year since the pandemic. We stopped wearing masks, I volunteered more at my kidβs school, and summer camps have been added to my schedule. Iβm finally experiencing the normalcy of parenting elementary-age kids.

Iβve been thinking a lot about motherhood, mental health, and being Asian-American and how those things affect my creativity. What started out with wondering if I could be a mom and an artist turned into a decade long journey of discovering what my creative blocks are and finding ways to overcome them.

My last post was back in May and itβs titled, βTake a Break.β At the time I interpreted taking a break as the simple addition of afternoon naps to my schedule. I would come to find that I would need more than afternoon naps.
