Texture is the surface quality of a shape. It's such an amazing element to play with! As a fashion illustrator, I am drawn to it immediately. When illustrating fashion designs I have to figure out how to translate physical texture into visual texture.
Here are some artist who are killing it with visual texture. When working with mediums that result in flat physical texture, like digital illustration, printmaking, or watercolor, visual texture is a big deal.
