Valentine Look No. 1

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. Twenty-seven days! Do you have special plans in the making and do those plans include what you're going to be wearing? I've picked my favorite runway pieces that I day dream of wearing on Valentine's Day. Today, I'm sharing my first pick and it's from Valentino's Pre-Fall 2015 line. You can see more of Valentino's Pre-Fall line here

I had previously drawn out some sketches from Valentino's line. I had two sketches done and painted, but I wasn't feeling it. The day was coming to an end and I wasn't happy with what I had created. I was determined to make something good, so I pushed on. I got onto my Pinterest and looked in my Runway board for some inspiration. I found this little number and started sketching. I wasn't sure were I was going with it, but I went and then I arrived.

Those moments when a piece just comes together so naturally is amazing. That's what we all strive for, but sometimes it take two (or three, or four) failed attempts to create what we intended to in the first place. It's beyond frustrating because I always feeling like I could've finished my work hours ago, or I could have made four awesome pieces instead of one in that time. But that's not how progress and growth work, right? Right. Find joy in every step you make as a creative. Even if those steps feel like you're moving backwards. I promise, you're learning from each and every mark you make. You're discovering who you are as an artist. So fail and looking forward to learning from those failures.
