Did you figure out what this lovely yellow and purple illustration is going to be? If you guessed a Prada perfume bottle, you guessed right! When being spontaneous with your artwork, you never know how it will turn out. I have a bit of an anxiety attack whenever I'm about to lay down my inked brush for the first time. Oh, those few seconds of sheer fear! I do my illustrations by picking up my brush or pen as few times as possible, so the very first mark is crucial!
If you go to the last photo, you can see one little mistake I made. My brush was just a tad bit too wet, so when I painted "Prada," the ink started spreading! (Before that, I had a feeling to check my brush, but, caught up in the excitement of the moment, I failed to listen to that voice in my head.) I panicked at first, but what do you do? Mistakes happen and you just have to go with the flow. You can't control everything! Oh man, life lessons from making art!
